Welcome to Flatbush
BUSHWICK is located in northern Brooklyn and has recently become known for its vibrant street art, trendy bars, restaurants, nightlife and thriving arts community. Its industrial past is evident in the repurposed and converted warehouse district in its northern section near Flushing Avenue. The neighborhood becomes more residential as you head south towards Highland Park and Cypress Hills, with its blocks of rowhouses, townhouses, multi-family walk-ups and mixed-use properties. While there has been an influx of newer residents, the neighborhood maintains a community of generational long-time residents with strong cultural institutions, such as the annual Knickerbocker Avenue Puerto Rican Day Parade.
