Welcome to Flatbush
CANARSIE is located in the southeastern part of Brooklyn, north of the Belt Parkway, surrounded by the Jamaica Bay to the south and east, and by the Fresh Creek Nature Preserve to the north. The neighborhood housing stock consists of mostly single family and multi-family homes, many with a “mother-daughter” layout which typically has a shared entrance that splits off into two living rooms, two bathroom and two kitchens, allowing a parent and an adult child to share a home without sacrificing privacy. Canarsie Pier stretches out into Jamaica Bay and provides residents and visitors with a view of the Manhattan skyline. The Gateway National Recreation Area includes several beautiful scenic trails, beaches, and wildlife.
